[MLB] How to buy MLB ticket online - Stubhub.com

When I was going to Washington D.C, there was an MLB game at Washington Nationals park with LA Dodgers. In this chance, I wanted to have a debut to watch a major league game. Espeically, I hoped the Korean pitcher in Dodgers to pitch in that game, but his game was planned for next day at Toronto. I was not happy about that, but soon I enjoyed the game.

Let's see how to buy a ticket. A famous and trustable online website to buy ticket is Stubhub.

If you go this website with your smart phone, then you can see the page that well fits to your phone. It has the view only for smart phones.

In this site, season ticket holders sell their ticket to people. There are other sports game ticket such as NBA, NFL, and so on.

When you go to Stubhub, then you can see below.

In the search box, typing "Washington Nationals", the list of the game of Nationals comes up.

Choose the game you want. Click "See tickets", then you see stadium map and sections. On the right side, there are prices. You can align by price and row of the seat.

Those prices are decided by season ticket holders. So, right before the game, for example, 3 minutes before the game, the prices would go down. One of my friends bought NBA semifinal ticket just 5 minutes before with very low price.

Click (toggle) the section, then you can see the seats in the selected section on the right side. You put the mouse pointer on the section and you can see the view from the section. This system is so good to choose the seat.

Below is in-field seats.
Out-field.

We wanted to see the Korean left-hand pitcher, Hyun-Jin Ryu (LA Dodgers, No. 99). So, we chose the visitor infield section. When you zoom in the map, you can see the row number. I bought the row GG in section 115. It was about $70 per person.

When you choose the seat and click the button "Go", then you can make the payment. The ways to get the ticket are little different. You may get an electronic ticket or printable ticket. It depends tickets.

After printing my ticket, you can see the ticket below.

In the middle, there is "SEASON TICKETS". So, you can enter the stadium gate for season ticket holders.

[New York - Manhattan] Sarabeth's: Go for Brunch

Two years ago, I've been to the Sarabeth's in upper west side, which is located in the location E in the map below. At that time, I actually didn't know which entree is famous for this restraunt. So, my wife and I had a pan cake and French toast.

"Great location. . Good food. Hospitable staff." - from Google

At about 10am.

When I looked at this restraunt from the outside, I felt it's not so big. But, it have a lot of tables.

Coffee.

Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict $19 - little salty for me

Garden Omelette $16 - not bad

Classic Egg Benedict $19 - So gooooooooood!!

In my opinion, the classic egg benedict is better than smoked salmon egg benedict.

In the last picture, can you see the "A" mark in blue color next to the door? Most of the restraunts in NY have that mark. It means how this restraunt is clean. I saw all restraunts have "A" except one, which has "B".

The classic egg benedict was so good. When the half cooked egg is broken, the yolk wets the bread below. After I came back, I tried to make the egg benedict with half cooked egg. It was also great :)

[MLB] Major League Ballparks: Let's visit all.

Living in the U.S, I watch MLB almost everyday. I can see cool stadiums, so I put it in my bucket list to visit all of the 30 MLB stadiums.

Map of the MLB ballparks. Many teams are located in the mid-east part of the U.S.
  • Dotted - American League (AL), plain  - National League (NL)
  • Red-West, Yellow-Central, Blue-East

These maps below are from Google.

Average attendance of 2012

Rich teams are most visited! (Or, high attendace makes them rich?)
This is the average attendance of Korea Baseball League in 2009.

As people expected, Lotte that has the most enthusiastic fans is the first. Then, the teams located around Seoul are next.

[Watching MLB] LA Dodgers @ Washington Nationals - Go, Go, Dodgers!

I decided to watch a major league baseball game when I visited D.C. I expected Ryu, Korean big pitcher, came up the game, but he didn't. It was because he was supposed to pitch at the next game in Toronto :(

Anyway, the game we see today is between Dodgers and Nationals. We bought tickets for the third base, which is for visitors. The tickets were from stubhub with $75 per ticket.

This is the nationals park, which is home for Washington Nationals. The location marked with A. It is not far from downtown.

Take Greenline subway to Navy Yard-Ballpark station. At a game day, there must be a lot of baseball fans, so you cannot miss it.

When we were out of the station, we are heading to the stadium. We have to buy a water here if we need. It is because the price will be double in the stadium.

Nationals was the champion of NL east division.

We can see the bronze statues of the legendary players of Nationals.

Wastebasket. Funny :)
